Help Locate Missing Man

Chilliwack:  RCMP and family members remain concerned about the well-being of 70-year-old Elgin Frankan MacKinnon, of Chilliwack.

Mr. MacKinnon was last seen on March 18, 2019 riding his bicycle in the 9100-block of Hazel Street and reported missing by family members to RCMP the following day.  Chilliwack RCMP issued a (click for link) news release on March 21, 2019 seeking public assistance in locating Mr. MacKinnon.

Elgin Frankan MacKinnon is described as:

  • Caucasian male.
  • Height: 175 cm (5’9”).
  • Weight: 75 kgs (165 lbs).
  • Hair: Grey.
  • Eyes: Brown.
  • Wearing a white hat, blue jacket, blue jeans, and brown hiking boots.
  • Riding a silver coloured mountain style bicycle with yellow and black lettering.

Chilliwack RCMP General Investigation Support Team (GIST) continue to pursue all leads in their search for Mr. Mackinnon and have not dismissed the possibility he has cycled out of the Chilliwack region.

“Police and family remain concerned for the well-being of Mr. MacKinnon who has been without required medication for over a week,” says Corporal Mike Rail spokesperson for the UFVRD.  “We are reaching out for everyone to remain watchful for Mr. MacKinnon or, for Mr. MacKinnon to contact police.”
