Chilliwack:  RCMP credit an alert neighbour who reported unusual activity to police for the arrest of a man wanted on a British Columbia-wide warrant.

Shortly before 7 p.m. on September 16, 2018, Chilliwack RCMP received a report of suspicious activity surrounding a car parked in the 46000-block of Strathcona Road.  General duty officers quickly arrived at the address where a 22-year-old man was taken into custody for warrants of arrest on an unrelated incident.

“An alert neighbour reporting unusual activity and the timely arrival of officers are key to the arrest,” says Corporal Mike Rail spokesperson for the UFVRD. “Citizens and RCMP working in unison are powerful components in preventing crime and keeping our community safe.”
