Seemingly both teams were able to move the ball as they combined for 927 yards of total offence.
The Huskers predominately gained their yards through the air. Quarterback Julian Whytinck finished 22 of 36 for an incredible 411 yards and threw three touchdowns. Brandon Poulin caught two touchdown passes on six receptions and 123 yards. Anthony Dyck on the other hand gathered a game high 159 yards on nine receptions and tallied a 56 yard touchdown.
On the ground Keegan Vicklund scored two more touchdowns on 10 carries and only 50 yards in all.
Defensively Jace Harden led the Huskers with five solo tackles and Dion Kelly had a pair of sacks.
The Broncos tried to stay tight but the passing of the Huskers wasn’t to be denied. Broncos’ pivot Rylan Matters completed 17 of 29 passes for 248 yards. Their offensive scores came on the ground from Landon Munk who recorded two touchdowns. Andrew Pocrnic rushed 10 times for 127 yards.
Dylan Young led the defence with a game high eight tackles and picked off a pass.
Following the BC Conference Labour Day bye the Broncos (0-3) will host the Huskers (3-1) at Hillside Stadium.
