Never in history have The Valley Huskers beat the Okanagan Sun until Saturday night at Exhibition Stadium.
The Huskers opened up the first quarter 14-0 and by half time the score was 14-7 for the Huskers.
Anthonty Dyck opened the scoring drive with a touchdown and Quarterback Julian Wytnick tossed a touchdown pass of 26 yards and ran one in from a yard out to take the first quarter lead.
Simon Winsnes intercepted the ball in the third quarter and ran for 50 yards for another Husker touchdown.
After a nail biting second half, the score was 22-15. With seconds left in the game, the Huskers had the ball deep in their zone and ran the clock down and gave the Okanagan Sun a safety to end the game with 18 points.
Final Score was 22-18
The Valley Huskers are now tied for first place with the Vancouver Island Raiders.
