Chilliwack:  Cash and weapons were seized during the execution of a search warrant by the RCMP.

On June 7, 2018 investigators from the Chilliwack Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) supported by the Chilliwack Prolific Offender Suppression Team (POST), General Duty (GD) officers and Lower Mainland District Integrated Police Dog Service, executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA) warrant in the 46000-block of 4th Avenue.

A small quantity of what is believed by police to be drugs, cash, airsoft firearms, assorted weapons and tools were seized by officers during the search.  One person in the residence was taken into custody on an unrelated warrant of arrest.

RCMP investigators will be submitting all circumstances of the investigation in a report to Crown Counsel for their assessment of Criminal Code charges.

Tips on how to spot a crime house in the neighbourhood:

  • Continuous foot traffic day and night to a residence.
