Looking For Hit And Run Suspect

Hope:  RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance to locate a suspect police believe was involved in a motor vehicle incident on Highway 3.

On September 11, 2017 at approximately 3:00 pm RCMP officers from Fraser Valley Traffic Service and Hope responded to a report of a two vehicle motor vehicle collision about 10 kilometers east of Hope on Highway 3.   An individual suspected to be the driver of a vehicle involved in the collision left the scene before police arrived.

The suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian male.
  • Height: approximately 5’9”- 5’10”.
  • Hair: dark cut short.
  • Thin face / slim waste / broad shoulders.
  • Facial stubble.
  • Wearing a white and red coloured motorcycle style jacket and tan coloured shorts.

Police believe the male travelled to Hope after the collision and advise the public that if sighted do not approach him and immediately call 911.

The highway will be closed for an undetermined amount of time while officers continue to gather evidence in their investigation.

Fraser Valley Traffic Service have conduct of the investigation.  Any further media enquiries are be forwarded to E Division Traffic Services.
