Abbotsford, B.C. - The Abbotsford Heat are heading to the Midwest on a roll after a 4-1 win and a weekend sweep of the Houston Aeros, that keeps the club undefeated against their divisional rival through four meetings.
Former Chilliwack Bruin Ryan Howse scored his first professional goal, Henrik Karlsson earned his second straight win in net, and the Heat got multi-point nights from Greg Nemisz, Clay Wilson, Quintin Laing and Adam Estoclet to close out a three game set at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre.
The game saw two five-on-three strikes from the Heat, 25 seconds apart in the third period, to break open a one-goal affair. The victory moves the Heat within just three points of fourth place and a home-ice seeding in the Western Conference playoff race. The weekend home sweep was the third of the season for the Heat.
Next up for the Heat is their final road swing through the Midwest that will see five games played over nine nights, with the club away from home for twelve days. The action begins on Tuesday night with the first of four regular season games against the Peoria Rivermen (St. Louis Blues).
The team will return home on March 2nd when the Texas Stars play their final pair in the Fraser Valley.

I see in other news that the mayor of Abby is now begging fans to support the team as obviously there is no way out of that brutal contact the previous Wizards on council signed.
